Unit 9

Well here I am, at the last minute just starting to do my final revision. I seem to second guess myself alot with regards to what sounds good in my paper and what is not needed. I have decided that this whole writing experience has been very educational but I do have to say that I do not enjoy, in the least bit, writing papers. I especially dislike the fact that I have had to write two papers during this term. It was definitely a brain teaser to say the least. On a better note my professor for my Eng Comp 2 class, Julie Pal, was absolutely amazing! She was very encouraging and helped myself as well as my classmates out whenever we needed it. I would strongly recommend her to those out there who have a mental block on writing or are terrified of it. I wish the best to my classmates in there future educational and career endeavors!

Unit 8

So I am swiftly approaching the end of yet another great class! I have to say that the whole "blogging" experience has been a great one! I still do not know how to remove myself from following myself but I like to think of it as making sure I'm doing what I am suppose to be doing! LOL I do plan to continue blogging and hope to make more regular posts.

Question: If there was one thing about your academic challenges, what would it be?

My academic challenges, at least lately, have been finding the time to work on classwork, papers etc. and be a fulltime single parent to my two children. It is very difficult for me to entertain them and work on assignments. Along with that I have been diligently job searching as well as looking for a new place to live. I know that I should dedicate some time to work on assignments and be able to do everything else on my plate but I feel as though my plate has runnith over off the table, onto the carpet, out the front door and down the street. I'm running after it but I just can't seem to catch up!

Unit 7

Last week we posted our rough drafts and I was quite surprised that I did so well! I'm patting myself on the back seeing as how I was stressing so terribly about my paper. I am one of those people who seems to get writers block everytime I have to write a paper. It is a good thing to know how to do but man o man it was tough. I do have to say that the peer reviews were really helpful as well as having the opportunity to read other classmates papers. It helped me alot with some areas that I needed to work on. It's always been easier for me to see something done correctly then run with it. My hope though is that my major will not require much writing of papers! Have a great week and a wonderful July 4th!

Summer is here!

Well summer has officially started.....at least in regards to my kids and there school. We spent the day at the pool and in all of my life I have never gotten burnt (I like to think it is because of my Puerto Rican heritage). So my friend asked me if I would like to use some oil and I thought "Hmmm maybe it would be helpful to my tan" so I said yes. Dear god that was the worst advice I have ever given myself. As I type I am still cooking! So advice to self Never Use Oil unless you are cooking food!!!!

Random happenings during the week

I have been looking into deciding what I am going to be writing my papers on for my College Comp 2 and Anatomy and Physiology classes. I am really stressing because Anatomy and Physiology might be the hardest class yet that I have taken. Not to mention, I have been sick all week and with two pre-teens it is nearly impossible to try to recoup. I have decided that I am going to go out this weekend and relax, whether that be outside on the patio or locked in the bedroom with a Margarita or beer. I am even contemplating going out to socialize with adults which is rare for me being that conversation lacks intelligence when everyone is three sheets to the wind however entertaining it is indeed! Either way I am in need of some brain rest.
